You are hereby invited to Queen Charlotte’s Ball: A Bridgerton Affair!

Ready your 18^th century or Regency ball finery and join us for dancing, games, and refreshments. Beginning level English country dances will be called by dance master Chris Wilson and dance mistress Kat Nagar. Demonstrated first by Atlanta Historic Dance, all will be invited to participate as we trip the light fantastic to live music.

Queen Charlotte has also prepared contests of skill for those who dare: compete to decorate the most regally stylish wig, or enter the Dating Game, 18^th-century-style, to contend for the hand of a prince! Will you vie for the prize?

Discover the history of courting in Queen Charlotte’s time and enjoy period-accurate finger foods. Throughout the evening, visit the gaming salon to play Whist, Shut the Box, or Backgammon. Visit our vendors to find that special souvenir or accessory for your period ensemble.

18th century, Regency dress, or formal attire is required to attend. Both historically accurate and historical fantasy clothing are acceptable. Please wear Ballet flats or low heeled shoes. If your dress has a train, please bustle it up before dancing.

The dates for the Regency Historical Dance Series are June 18, 25, July 2 nd, and 30th. All classes will be held on Sundays, mostly from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, at the Decatur School of Ballet, Sams St. Annex. The address is 141 Sams St. #4133 Decatur, GA. 30030. Please check our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/atlantahistoricdance/ for the latest class schedule under events. You're welcome to attend one or all of the classes in the series. You don't need to attend class to dance at the ball. There will be a number of beginning level, called dances. Expert level classes will not be called.
